Subway Smells
I've noticed that most Subway 'sandwich' shops I've encountered hae this sort-of 'cold cuts meet cleaning fluid' smell to them. I guess that's good, in a way.
Many people complain that Subway is garbage. But if you go to one, with all the choices of breads and veggies and condiments and meats, it's getting pretty close to being your fault if you can't find some combination of stuff there that you could enjoy.
Then again, people thought Subway was garbage from the beginning. I remember getting a complimentary calendar from Subway one year which chronicled the history of the chain. It seems that some guys started a sub shop, and after a while realized that thy were failing, that customers really didn't want to come to the place.
Supposedly they called a family meeting to discuss what they should do, and they came down to 2 choices - close up shop, or open 5 more of them. You can probably guess which direction they went.
