They had this stuff called Italian Chili. The waitress liked it, but it was this red puddle of flavorless stuff with things floating in it. Not too inspiring.

a I-suppose Carrabba's wanna-be. Let me just say, UGH! Not that everything was bad. The bread with roasted garlic dipping oil was nice, and the stuffed mushrooms were pretty good. But the fried calamari were rubbery and the coating doughy, the dipping sauce blah: lasagna was uneven and gummy in spots, spaghetti in marinara was nothing spectacular, and the chicken parmigiana was more reminicient of Burger King's version than any other to me. We didn't stay for dessert and the floors were weirdly slippery.

surprised me last night. I usually got mediocre stuuf from there before, but last night we got the ravioli and the chicken picatta, both of which were yummy.

The Opening Act for Richard Jeni...

...I guess was kinda perfect for the situation. He wasn't bad enough to caues people to run screaming from the theatre, but he wasn't good enough to make you think you got screwed paying good money to see this loser Jeni when this brilliant talent only got a few short minutes. I guess he was okay, then - whatever his name was.

Saw the richard jeni show...

at the Carefree Theatre in WPB last night. He was very hilarious. His observations about the silly crap we screw ourselves with, esp. in relationships, caused the wife to scream like a maniac with laughter. She recognized a lot in herself and me. Will thngs change? - guess not, since they're so damn funny.

AMF Pembroke Pines Lanes...

has stopped its rent-a-lane for Friday mornings - 3 hours for under $9 - and that's sad. a little community of cheapskates used to roll large round objects from one side of the building to the other, and would complain if the ball got stuck. Now I have to be content with putting dents in my walls and furniture and dogs and loved ones.

Headline in today's Miami herald says,"Woman, 69, survives 9-story fall". Headline in today's Ft. Lauderdale's Sun-Sentinel says, "Woman, 70, falls 9 stories - and survives". There's either 2 different women, or it's one woman who was 69 when she fell out and 70 when she landed.

garlic-infused omlette for the wife. Went to Thira restaurant yesterday. Good things include the hummus, roasted lamb, mousaka. Okay things include roast chicken, eggplant/zuchinni appetizer. On US 1 and Hallendale Beach Blvd. (south Florida)

And now I'm wondering what to say. Should i loosen up and just let it flow? Or what?
